In the early 2000's, Olee started dreaming of a beautifully striped lawn. In 2012, he took his first step by purchasing a brand new Ferris IS 3100 zero-turn mower. At that time, he didn't have the land but he had a mower and a dream. In April 2014, he bought his dream home on 3 acres of land and was finally able to mow his own yard. However, there were existing trees, shrubs, and weeds that needed to be removed. 

After months of excavating, adding a 12-zone irrigation system, and leveling 300 loads of dirt, it was time to start growing! 2,800lbs of lime, 500lbs of starter fertilizer, and 10 bags of grass seed later, he had germination. On October 27, 2015, he first saw those baby grasses and the "Fescue Freak" was born. He has had a lot of hurdles along the way such as turf disease, drought, pests, etc., but Olee chooses to view these as opportunities to learn and grow in turf management.
